About Us

Parts by Geci is the result of a lifelong passion for cars, engineering, and making things. I started selling parts on the side as a self funding hobby. I needed parts for my car which were no longer available, so I decided to make them myself. If I needed the part, surely then others did too. So I made extra and made them available to other enthusiasts such as myself.

Back in 2016 when I was studying Mechatronic Engineering at the University of Adelaide, I bought my first 3D printer, a Flashforge Creator Pro. It had a fraction of the print volume, features and part quality that are available today from a printer that costs half as much. What it gave me though was an in-depth understanding and knowledge of 3D printing before it became mainstream. I had to tune print profiles, modify, and tinker to get the best out of what I had.

During the day, I work professionally and a Mechanical Design Engineer for an electronics company. In the evening and on the weekends, I'm in the shed designing, testing, and producing automotive parts for car enthusiasts all over the world. At the same time, I am juggling raising a small family, and life in general.
